Designing
a Weight Loss Program That Works For You
|
Diets,
especially fad diets or “quick-fix” pills and plans, often set you up
for failure. These diets may leave you feeling deprived due to restricted eating,
causing you to give up on the plan. They may be cost-prohibitive, with membership
dues or special frozen meals you need to purchase. And even if you lose weight quickly,
you may gain it all back just as fast once the diet is over. You are not alone – many
of us struggle with the battle of the bulge.
By
visiting Healthy
Weight Loss Your Way, you can start designing a plan that works with your individual
needs; avoid common diet pitfalls; and make important lifestyle changes that can
help you find long-term, healthy weight loss success! |
When
Counting Sheep Isn’t Enough…. |
We’ve
all heard the standard solutions for drifting off into peaceful slumber—counting
sheep, drinking warm milk, taking a bath. But if you’d like to sleep well every
night, it’s important to design and follow a daily routine that promotes quality
rest. This involves:
- improving your daytime habits
- creating a comfortable sleep environment
- going to sleep and getting up at the
same time each day
- avoiding foods and activities that might interfere with sleep
- following a relaxing
bedtime routine
See Tips
for Getting Better Sleep for pointers on developing a personalized “sleep
soundly” plan, dozens of slumber-friendly suggestions, and information on
what might be disturbing your sleep patterns. |

Spotting
the Signs of ADHD in Kids |
Kids
are natural bundles of energy and excitement. But if your child has trouble paying
attention at home or school, he or she may have ADHD.
There
are a wide variety of symptoms that point to ADHD, not just hyperactivity. Furthermore,
ADHD can look very different from one child to the next. One kid with ADHD might
be a quiet daydreamer who is disorganized, easily distracted, and forgetful. Another
might be disruptive and impulsive: constantly fidgeting, unable to sit still, and
interrupting or talking over others.
For
more on the signs and symptoms - and what to do if you spot them in your child -

/ ADHD in Children.
